The short version

You can browse Markdown without an account. If you sign in with Google to collect sites, we receive your name, email address and profile picture — nothing else — and use them only to keep your collection. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

What we collect

• If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture, provided by Google.
• Your collection: the sites you collect, saved with your account so it follows you to any device. Styles you customise stay in your own browser.
• Web addresses you paste to get a site’s style. We fetch that public page to read its styles; we don’t store the page.
• Basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept briefly by our host for security and to stop abuse.

How we use it

To sign you in, keep your collection, run the service safely and fix problems. Google sign-in data is used only for these purposes, in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Who we share it with

Only the providers that run Markdown: Vercel (hosting), Upstash (storing collections) and Google (sign-in). We don’t sell or rent personal data.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time, remove sites from your collection, or ask us to delete your account data. You can also remove Markdown’s access in your Google Account under Security → Third-party connections.
